                            Safe Passage Gala 2016                            1st Andy Armstrong Positive Action Award

Andy Armstrong presented the first perpetual award in his name to Catherine Sanson at this year's Safe Passage Gala.  Each year, the award will recognize a graduate of the Safe Passage Program who has used positive action to better their own life and the lives of others against tremendous odds.  Congratulations to Catherine and her son Luke Sanson who accepted the award with his mother! Safe Passage is a non-profit organization that has a 95% success rate in helping the survivors of Domestic Violence and their families develop healthier lives.

#StandUPforStunts March 15th

With over 80,000 signatures, the petition to include a Stunt Coordinator category in the Academy Awards was delivered in March to the Academy of Arts & Sciences.

Artemis Women in Action Film Festival, April 22nd

Andy Armstrong joined an expert panel of fellow stunt professionals, interviewed by Sheena Metal, host of the Sheena Metal Experience L.A. radio show, at this year's Artemis Women in Action Film Festival.

Rick Seaman & Andy Armstrong Driving Clinic, April

Hosted at Rick Seaman's Stunt Driving School in Los Angeles, California, Andy and Rick put on an intensive one day driving clinic on the topics of choreography, safety, stunt coordinating, equipment and other essential information.

NYFA Feb 2016

In a special four part lecture series, Andy Armstrong worked with students of New York Film Academy on the Art of Movie Action.  The students were particularly receptive to Andy's comprehensive and practical, real world experience lecturing style, which generated lively discussion and interesting debate each class. Andy's book, Action Movie Maker's Handbook, is now available in the NYFA Film Library. Thank you to NYFA for hosting this exciting series. Read some of their feedback here.

Fundraising Lecture & Reception for Independent Short Film Rocket

Andy Armstrong Lectured at the Rocket Fundraiser October 3rd, 2015.  With Guest Stunt Performer Jennifer Caputo on hand to add her expertise and Director Brenna Malloy answering questions about the film, the event was a success.  Set among one of the best private collections of vintage cars in the nation, guests got an up close look at a rare assortment of memorabilia from racing history.  Thank you to all who attended and to Sponsor #Besties Wine!  Please click on the Rocket Website link at the bottom of the page to donate to the making of this exciting film.
